As I anticipated in one of my latest posts, I had been planning to write a post about sites for personal development, as I believe they’re a powerful source of inspiration and help for those people who are seeking for practical advices about how to become more productive and to get rid of bad habits.
It’s time to share some of the most useful and inspiring pages that focus on personal growth and all the related topics!
The sites I am sharing with you provide high-quality content, well written articles, and a lot of practical tips to enhance our self-confidence, improve our skills and find our way in our never-ending journey to become the best version of ourselves.
Ready? So, here we go!
Zen habits
Zen habits is the place where you can find concise and insightful reflections and articles about mindfulness, self growth, and much more.
One of the things I love the most about this site is its layout, which is based on minimalism. The minimalistic approach is reflected in the style, too: all the articles are very practical and reader-oriented: there aren’t words or sentences which are out of place, just what you need to get your dose of motivation, and take action. Nothing more, nothing less.
Some of my favourite articles from the blog are: how to declutter, think about your life goals, seven things to do when you feel down.
Tiny Buddha
I really love Tiny Buddha. There are so many high-quality and well written stories that very often I find myself spending hours and hours going through them, trying to find the ones that I could resonate with the most.
Since its foundation, the site became one of the biggest references to people that want to find wisdom quotes, read about happiness, mindfulness, psychology, spirituality. Thereโs really a lot of stuff on the blog, and that’s not all: on Tiny Buddha, you can connect with other people in a vibrant and lively community and purchase items from the special Tiny Buddha merchandising.
Barking up the wrong tree
Barking up the wrong tree is the place where you can combine personal growth with neuroscience. A really recommended page.
The peculiarity of this site is that the articles are really detailed and backed up with scientific evidence. As it’s stated in the “About” section, “This site brings you science-based answers and expert insight on how to be awesome at life.” Amazing, isn’t it?

The School of Life
The School of Life is not only a site about personal growth, also it provides a set of online resources – such as a YouTube channel and several eBooks – to help people find inner peace, self-confidence and understand themselves better.
The articles section is very complete and detailed, and deals with very diverse topics. One of the articles I loved the most? The importance of dancing like an idiot.
The positivity blog
I believe that sharing positive energies is a very powerful key to foster the change in ourselves and our surroundings. That’s why a blog about positivity is a must on this list!
I love a lot this site because of its minimalistic style – which makes easier to get oriented in the blog – and the very good quality of the articles, inspired by the author’s reflections about his own experiences.

Pick the brain
A very complete site with a huge variety of topics: productivity, psychology, motivation, health, self-care, and much more. The blog offers a wide range of high-quality posts and has been awarded several times for its content’s quality.
Share your favourite pages
It’s your turn! Did I forget a really good site that you think it’s worth mentioning? Is there a cool page you want to promote? Feel free to leave a comment with your suggestions. Personal development includes a very wide variety of topics and I believe that getting access to free online resources – such as videos or articles – is very important. They can provide us with us practical and effective tips about how to overcome our negative feelings, improve our self-confidence and get better at something.
This, of course, has to be linked to a constant and focused work on ourselves and to the practice of introspection. But, for sure, the opportunity to join a community or a site where we can find people to share our journey with, is a really huge help.
Thank you for reading this. Have a great day!

Interesting, I had never actually heard of any of these sites before! My favorite sites for health and wellness are those belonging to: James Clear, Precision Nutrition, Gretchen Rubin, and Mark Manson. I’ll have to check some of these out, thanks!
